Pre and Post conference tours
Please be aware that a certain number of participants are needed for each post conference tour to go ahead. If you are planning to join a post conference tour you may need to book flexible travel arrangements. Please indicate if you would be happy to be transferred to a different post conference tour to enable a tour to go ahead. Please send the post conference tour fee in the same way as for the conference fee. If you have chosen more than one option for post conference tours, please pay for your first choice. If tours are canceled your tour fee will be reimbursed.

Transfers to and from Conference Venue

Bus transfers offered by the organizers

Transfers will be arranged for all the participants arriving on the 24th of September. A Meeting Point will be set up in the Henri Coanda (Otopeni) Airport in Bucharest and local guides will meet participants in Brasov Railway Station.

The schedule for transfers on arrival and departure is presented below:

  1. Wednesday 24th: transfers on from the Henri Coanda (Otopeni) Airport - Bucharest to Poiana Brasov are scheduled for the following hours:
    10:30 , 13:30, 15:30, 17:30 , 19:30

    Please look on your arrival for the EUROPARC Meeting Point in the airport (the arrival area is small, it will be easy for you to spot it)

  2. Wednesday 24th: transfers from Brasov train station to Poiana Brasov by minibus at 17:00.
    Those arriving earlier or later can use the indications for public transport provided on the website.
  3. Sunday 28th of September from Poiana Brasov to Henri Coanda (Otopeni) , the return schedule is:
    03:00 , 08:00 , 10:00 , 12:30

Those arriving / leaving on other days or at times that do not allow the use of the above transfers can use the information presented on this website for individual transfers.

Individual transfers

If from different reasons you will not be able to use the conference transfer arrangements, here you have some useful information for individual transfer arrangements.

  1. From the airports to the train stations, buses and taxis are available. Here you have some guidance:

    • Henri Coanda ( Otopeni) Airport to Main Train Station ( Bucharest North)
      • take bus number 783 to Piata Victoriei Station (approx 5 RON) and the Underground from Piata Victoriei Station to Main train station - Bucharest North (approx 3 RON)
      • if you take a taxi - use FLY TAXI company
      Sibiu Airport to Main Train Station (Sibiu)
      • take bus number 201 directly to the Main Train Station Sibiu (approx 2 RON)
      • if you take a taxi - use PROTAXI company (approx 20 RON)
      Cluj Napoca Airport to Main Train Station Cluj Napoca
      • take bus number 8 to Mihai Viteazu Square and then bus no 4 to Main Train station Cluj Napoca (approx 6 RON)
      • if you take a taxi - use Pritax, Nova or Diesel company (approx 20 RON)

  2. For the trains that will take you from Bucharest/ Sibiu/ Cluj Napoca train stations to Brasov train station you'll find the information on www.infofer.ro The webpage is available in English.

    For train transfers we recommend you to use the trains that have the indication R (rapid train) or A (fast train "accelerat"). Trains marked with P ("personal") are very slow trains.

  3. From the Brasov train station to Poiana Brasov you can use buses that are on regular service till 23.30 o'clock:
    • bus no 4 - to the end of the line ( Livada Postei station) and
    • bus no 20, from Livada Postei station to Poiana Brasov .

    The price for bus no 4 ticket is 1,5 RON and for bus no 20 is 3 RON.

    Hire a taxi - 30 RON . Recommended companies: MARTAX, TOD, RO TAXI.

  4. You can make a reservation for a taxi from any airport to Poiana Brasov through us. Please give us your arrival details and we will make all the arrangements for you.
